I purchased this T-Rex Skeleton model in 2018, it has been on my desk since then. It is an impressive addition to any home dinosaur collection. The model was easy to put together. It is not a toy, it is for display
My daughter and husband had a blast putting this together. It takes some patience because the directions aren’t completely fool-proof, but considering this is supposed to be a STEM activity, that’s a good thing. Trial and error is a big part of science. Now they enjoy using it to scare the crap out of their grandma when she comes over.
Shortly after viewing the latest Jurassic Park dinosaur extravaganza, this item suddenly made sense for a home décor item. Assembly is straightforward as long as the assembly numbers for each part are kept facing the same direction. A stout metal spine and large assembly poster is included. A few pieces, in this case the forearms were challenging to attach. Several of the holes for the metal pin sets used for some vertebrae parts required a little reaming to allow fit.
Great, realistic display quality! Very easy to assemble and had no connection issues. Very impressive model for kids and adults. Love the visual appeal!

I read many consumer reviews on this model before buying it. For the price you get an extremely nice replica of a T-Rex. And, it is BIG. You better have space for it. While it didn't come with any directions for connecting the parts, we did find that all parts are numbered and if you look at the box and large image of the T-Rex that came in the box, you shouldn't have any problems figuring it out. In fact, it took my two grandchildren only about 1/2 hour to put it together. Parts snap together, no glue or model paint is necessary. We found the model parts to be nicely constructed and they fit together well. Just be careful moving the model once it is complete. It is a bit wobbly and will come apart easily. Bought this for my 10 year old, Dino obsessed daughter. We had a blast putting it together. Goes together quickly, not complicated. Bigger than expected, great gift for the dinosaur fan in your life.
My 7 year old loves this. We had a great time at a museum in NYC, and when I gave this to him he couldn't wait to build it. He put the pieces in order on the table and then added them to the metal rod which forms the spine making adjustments if he added them backwards. I was pretty surprised, he did it all if it by himself except for the legs which Dad had to muscle into place. It's big, rather impressive actually, which makes it worth the price.
My rex looks awesome in my eighth grade classroom. I bought it in the spirit of the new Jurassic World movie being released and surprised my kids with it. Not only is it sturdy and easily assembled, it has a commanding presence on my desk. It was a nice distraction from the sweltering heat of the classrooms.
This is a phenomenal display piece—a very detailed, quite large (three feet long and a bit under two feet high) model of the Tyrannosaurus Rex's skeleton. Any dinosaur fan should have this on display SOMEWHERE in their house...
